Stand Up Paddle Board & Kayak

Safety Guidelines

You must agree that you are physically fit enough to operate the vessel you are renting.

When it is windy (any winds above 10 mph) it is advised that you paddle into the wind so that if you get tired the wind assist you with your return. Click Here for Local Weather Conditions.

Stay Sober on the water.  It is not lawful to operate while intoxicated.

If you get in trouble on the water, you can use your paddle to wave to show you are in distress so other boaters can stop and offer help.  Please know we do not have the ability to assist you when you are out on the water.

The United States Coast Guard regulations requires that all paddlers have a US Coast Guard approved Personal Flotation Device (PFD) on the equipment with them at all times.

PFD’s provided by Paddle Canyon Lake.

The State of Texas requires all paddlers under 13 to wear approved PFDs at all times while on the water.

You must be the parent or legal guardian of any minor child (under age 18) to allow them to use rented equipment and are responsible for signing the waiver form for them and making sure they follow all safety guidelines and instructions we have provided to you.
